Kyocera is known to make rugged smartphones either with waterproof or with sapphire screen like the Kyocera Brigadier . The new smartphone from the company is the Kyocera Luch (Luce) KCP01K; which would come with waterproof, dustproof and shock-proof features.

Kyocera Luch (Luce) KCP01K with Dust proof, waterproof and Shock-proof will launch on December 24 and cost around $283

The Kyocera Luch has extra protective shell over its plastic body. It would pack a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 pixels resolution TFT LCD display, a 1.2GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.The Luch smartphone has a 8MP rear camera and a front facing camera.

Other specs info of the Kyocera Luch includes NFC, Mobile wallet, Seg TV, a 2000mAh battery and a microSD card slot. The handset measures 11.2mm (rather bulky), weighs about 139grams, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is available for about $283 price tag.
