The new clip-on Shanghai Donya DN-12739 7X zoom optical lens fits any smartphone so there’ll be no ill will between Android and iPhone users.

The lens is out in Japan for 2,999 yen (US $25) and weighs 78g.

This looks like a neat compact solution to eliminating grainy digital zoom pics.

Tablet market in 2015 but rises

Currently, the tablet market is in fine collapse. However, there are indications that the coming year is expected to change. At least, says analyst firm IDC known.

Analyst firm IDC predicts an increase in the supply of tablets in the current year. The total amount of supplied equipment is expected to be 234.5 million compared to 229.7 million in the previous year. Tablet market recently slowed down, which is caused by the increasing popularity of smartphones with large screens. However, IDC expects that will increase the supply of both Android tablets, as well as with Windows, and the number of iPads delivered decline slightly. According to IDC, 158.1 million tablets running on Android will be delivered to stores around the world, compared to 154.7 million units in 2014. This will lead to 2.2% growth in the market share of Android tablets. While the tablet with windows will be delivered in the number of 16.3 million compared to 11.6 million in the previous year. At that time, the number of iPads delivered 60.1 million will be compared to 63.4 million a year ago. This decrease is probably due to the release of the iPhone 6 Plus, the screen size is 5.5 inches. Looking ahead, IDC expects that in 2019 years Microsoft will deliver 38 million tablets. That would give 14.1% share of the tablet market giant from Redmond. LG G Flex 2 now available on Sprint

The LG G Flex 2 was one of my favorite devices at CES 2015, so I have been waiting to see how its launch unfolds. Are you a Sprint customer? You may be interested to learn the LG G Flex 2 has just launched on the Now Network.

The device can be had for $504 off-contract or $199.99 on a 2-year contract. You can also opt for buying it on payments for $21 a month.

Opinion: So, who’s buying? $504 is not really a bad deal for a phone of this caliber. Not to mention, it happens to be an amazing conversation starter. I used the original LG G Flex for a while and jsut couldn’t get people off me at bars!

HTC One M9 release date confirmed

We have good news and bad news for you. The good news is the HTC One M9 will be launched this March 16th. The bad news is that this only applies to the Taiwanese market, where HTC happens to call home.

In addition to the release date, this announcement also confirms customers won’t be limited to 32 GB of storage. There will also be a 64 GB version. As for pricing, the 32 GB HTC One M9 will cost NT $21,900, while the 64 GB iteration will cost NT $23,900.

Opinion: While this is really no good news for most of us, it means the HTC One M9 is scheduled for a pretty quick rollout. It likely won’t take long for other markets to start seeing the device, now that Taiwan has welcomed it.

Google Flight Search looks for what’s important: in-flight WiFi

Flights that offer WiFi in the sky are now flagged on Google Flight Search, meaning you can make sure it’s always worth charging your smartphone, tablet and laptop before a flight.

Google’s Flight Search facility has been around since 2011 but this could be the thing that makes it stand out over other flight finders such as Skyskanner and Priceline.

Other features Google Flights can find out include whether the seat has a power charger for devices and laptops.

Sony Bluetooth SBH70 headphones full details announced

Sony has announced full details of the SBH70 Bluetooth stereo headset we previewed last week.

The IP57 water resistant Bluetooth earphones will be released at around $80, which makes them contenders as an affordable first step into this year’s hot trend of wireless earphones.

They are designed to be ergonomic and lightweight and also accept voice commands through the built-in mic. There’s also noise cancellation, which includes a wind cut, to make things easier on the ear.

The Bluetooth is NFC and it has a 125mAh battery for six hours of audio playback.

They’ll be out soon and come in black, red, yellow, white, pink and blue.
