Xposed Framework is now available for Android Marshmallow
Xposed Framework is one of the favourite apps for users with root access. It gives them the ability to tweak their system in many ways, without having to change the ROM they are running. There are plenty of modules developed for it, and many users rely on it to tweak their phones. With the arrival of the newest version of Android, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it was not certain when Xposed Framework was going to be supported. But thankfully Xposed for Marshmallow is here! And it is available a lot sooner than it took for it to support Lollipop.
Xposed Framework – Beware before flashing
This is the first version of Xposed Framework to support Android Marshmallow, so it is understandable that it does not work perfectly yet. Version 77 has only been tested with the SuperSU root management app, as the developer rovo89informs us, and as of writing this article many Xposed Framework APIs have not been tested to check if they work properly.
Furthermore, some Sony and Samsung users are reporting that their phones are stuck in a bootloop after trying to install Xposed Framework. And finally, it is not sure that all modules will work properly in the latest version and many will probably need to be updated in order to work on Android Marshmallow devices running the Xposed Framework.
So you should always remember to take a complete backup of your system, that will help you restore your device in case something goes wrong. That of course is true for every attempt you make to tweak your system, and not only for Xposed Framework. So with that in mind, if you are running Android Marshmallow, and you have root access and a custom recovery like TWRP and ClockWorkMod, you can go ahead and try Xposed Framework. Happy flashing!
