LINX Vision 8 gaming tablet doesn’t hide its purpose

Look at those controls! The LINX Vision 8 gaming tablet doesn’t hide its purpose – the tagged-on controls on either side of the tablet wear its functions proudly.

While this sadly isn’t the return of the Atari Lynx, it is still a good-spec gaming tablet at a nice price.

The Windows 10 tablet offers “full Xbox controls” and runs on an Intel Atom Z3735E quad-core processor clocked at 1.83GHz and backed by 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage.

The display is an 8-inch LCD screen at 1280 x 800 pixels and it supports WiFi 802.11 b.g.n, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro HDMI out.

The memory can be expanded via microSD and it has stereo speakers for headphones-free gaming.

The rear camera is fine at 8MP, while the 2MP front-facer could be better.

Battery life is said to be seven hours, so not too bad, and it’ll launch at the reasonable price of $224.
