Elephone Android 6 Marshmallow update timescale

Elephone today sent over a their Elephone Android 6 Marshmallow update timescale, the list is not complete and will hopefully be updated as time goes on.

Its a little disappointing to see no Android 6 support for the P8000, but I hold on to the hope that a custom rom will be created using the released source files.

The Elephone Trunk is the surprise amongst the list, but the inclusion of CM13 custom rom is mostly due to the fact the phone runs a Qualcomm CPU, which has a much larger development community and with it more access to sources for compiling the rom.

Elephone P9000 January 2016 (pre-installed)

Elephone P9000 Lite January 2016 (pre-installed)

Elephone Trunk December 2015 (customised CM13 Rom)

Elephone P8000 – No ETA (Hopefully this will be rectified either by Elephone or by the Devs over on XDA forums)

Elephone P6000 Pro – No ETA

Elephone M3 – No ETA

Elephone Ivory – No ETA

So what do you make of the list? do you currently own one of the non-supported handsets? if you do would you rather Elephone spend time updating Android 5.1 to make it as smooth and bug free as possible? or would you rather they dropped work on 5.1 and started afresh with 6.0?

Its a difficult choice to make, on the one hand you will be running the latest Rom, whilst on the other you will be starting afresh and finding new bugs that will need fixing etc.
