Pioneer XDP-100R is a solid aluminium hunk of HD audio player

The chunky, super-solid Pioneer XDP-100R is their dedicated HD audio player, which runs on Android and supports the common HD audio files.
The player is made from a solid chunk of metal and features two circuit boards: one for processing the audio and the other for the OS, to avoid digital noise bleeding into the output.
Pioneer’s latest has a 4.7-inch, 720p display and has 32GB storage as standard but can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
It’ll handle you stuffing the microSD card with the likes of lossless FLAC, MQA and ALAC files. DSD audio up to 11.2MHz is also supported.
The price is TBA but it’s expected to be around $700, undercutting Sony’s dedicated HD audio effort by a few hundred dollars.
