Motorola solves smartphones’ crack problem with Moto ShatterShield display

The new Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phone features Moto ShatterShield display technology – which they claim makes it the first phone with a shatterproof display.

The 5.4-inch ShatterShield display comprises five layers of impact-absorbent material, selected for its unbreakable properties.

Currently the phone is available only through the US carrier Verizon, so for the break-free experience there are a few limiting options.

The phone comes with a four year warrant on the display and the camera lens, which is good to see as they’re putting their money where their mouth is.

While ShatterShield should eventually roll out to more Motorola devices (and maybe beyond), it’s just a select group of customers who can enjoy it at the moment.
