Coolpad’s X7 Frame Is Actually Made Out of an Aluminium Alloy

At the very beginning of this year, more precisely on January 8, the Chinese producer Coolpad was announcing a new smartphone with premium design and a price of only $255 for the standard version, device called Coolpad X7. Also, this phone is pretty slim with a thickness of only 6.45 mm.

In terms of materials used on the development process, we get to know that this phone arrives with double-sided glass panels and a frame made out of an aluminium alloy used in aerospace. This material offers high hardness, light-density characteristics and is corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant and fingerprints won’t be seen on such a frame.

Getting to specs, we already found out that the phone brins a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, an octa-core Mediatek MT6595 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 3 GB RAM memory, and 16 GB space of internal storage that can be expanded through a microSD card up to 128 GB. On the connectivity side we have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, a microUSB port and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Coolpad X7 also packs a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 8-megapixel front-facing sensor, a nano-SIM card slot and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the Cool UI 6.0 custom interface applied on top. So what’s your opinion about this new device from Coolpad taking in consideration the materials used?
