LeTV Le Max Pro: A Beast
A 6.33-inch screen at 2560 x 1440 pixels with an AnTuTu score in the 130,000-range (probably more like 80,000 under AnTuTu 5.x). The battery is worrisome at just 3,300mAh, however, but with Quick Charge 3.0 that might not matter much. There might not be a microSD card slot, though. But we’ll see what the reviews say later on!

Availability and, most importantly, price are yet to be announced. But it will likely appear for sale for American customers at the official LeMall — saving us from the problems associated with sketchy middlemen sellers who jack up the price and create return problems.
LeTV came out of nowhere with its phones last year and managed to sell four million of them. That’s really one hell of a feat in a country where premium-price buyers tend to eschew domestic Chinese brands and head straight for the iPhone (and it’s usually the iPhone, not a Samsung). I’ve yet to read of anyone being completely disappointed with one of these phones. Buyer’s regret seems to be low.
This is a phone I’ve been waiting for. I’m very keen to see reviews, videos, and owner comments.
And yes, I know Huawei announced the lustastic Mate 8 — but without any plan to release it in the U.S.. By the time it arrives in America, will anyone still care? Well, I would — if first fobbing it off elsewhere kicks in economies of scale that drive the price surprisingly lower than it currently is (near US$600!).
